Edward has joined many local residents at Rainbows’ Childrens’ Hospice in Loughborough, for their 2019 annual Open Day.
The 2019 Open Day celebrates an extremely special milestone in the Rainbows Hospice’s journey – with this year marking 25 years since their doors (and heart), opened to members of the local community that most need them in 1994. Rainbows is the only hospice in the East Midlands for children and young people and they provide compassionate, expert support to families, where a child is suffering with a life-restricting condition.
Edward said: “I am always deeply humbled when visiting the Rainbows Hospice, and remain in awe of the outstanding dedication, compassion and support that all staff offer to those who need it. What has stood out to me, on every occasion that I’ve visited the Hospice, is the strong sense of ‘family’ shared between staff and the parents and children they work so tirelessly to support. This year marks 25 years since the Rainbows Hospice first opened and started its wonderful work to act as a lifeline to many local families- the Open Day was a wonderful way to celebrate all the amazing work it has done over the years. I look forward to attending future Open Days and want to thank all of the staff once again, for the incredible role they play and for the work they do.”
