Edward has met with the founder of Plastic Free Queniborough, Sue Woodward, in the village to give his support to her campaign to reduce single use plastic.
Sue, working in conjunction with Surfers Against Sewage on the campaign, is working to engage with local businesses, shops, and individuals to reduce single use plastics and become as plastic free as possible. Sue’s campaign has been endorsed by Queniborough Parish Council & Syston Town Council, and Edward, as Charnwood’s MP, has now added his support.
Edward said: “It was a real pleasure to meet Sue in Queniborough and to hear from her about her campaign to reduce the use of single use plastics locally, a campaign I am pleased to support.

Protecting our environment is vital to all of our futures, and reducing single use plastic is a key part of that. We all have a role to play, and Sue’s campaign helps highlight that.”
