Edward has met with the team from the Midlands Engine to discuss opportunities for boosting growth and jobs across the East Midlands.
The Midlands Engine is a coalition of Councils, Combined Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP), Universities, and businesses across the region who are working together with the Government to drive regional growth and create a compelling and competitive vision for our region as a destination for investment.
Edward said: “Our region is a fantastic place for investment and growth, with its location at the heart of our country, its transport links, world-class universities and educational establishments, and the can-do attitude to hard work and innovation that characterises the Midlands. It is important to do all we can to harness that to generate investment and jobs for local people and local communities.”
