As in previous years, Edward has joined local Councillor James Poland, Thrussington’s Parish Council Chairman, Tom Prior, and a host of local residents to take part in the village’s annual litter-pick. And, as always, it was great to see so many people coming together to keep beautiful villages like Thrussington litter-free, giving their time on a Saturday to don high-vis vests, and pick up a litter-picker and a refuse sack to scour the verges and hedgerows of the village for discarded litter.
Edward said: “We all have a responsibility to keep our local areas tidy, and as with every year it was great to be in Thrussington joining with local volunteers who are committed to doing just that. It really does instil a great sense of pride and, for me, it sums up what true community spirit is all about, and the strength of that sense of community in Thrussington.”
