Edward has been elected as the new Conservative MP for Charnwood following the General Election on 7th May 2015.
The full results for the Charnwood Parliamentary Constituency were:
Edward ARGAR (Conservative) 28,384 54.3%
Sean KELLY-WALSH (Labour) 11,453 21.9%
Lynton YATES (UKIP) 8,330 15.9%
Simon SANSOME (Lib Dem) 3,605 6.9%
Cathy DUFFY (BNP) 489 0.9%
CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY: 16,931
