Edward has joined Parish Councillors and local residents for the official opening of a new playground in South Croxton, beside the village hall.
The Parish Council secured a National Lottery grant of £10,000 to replace the play equipment and regenerate the community space beside the village hall, near the playing field. As well as the new play equipment, the area can now be reached via a new sloping path making it easy making the space accessible. The new facilities will be a hugely positive addition to the village for children and families.
Edward said: “It was a real pleasure to help officially open the new playground in South Croxton, which will make a real difference for children and families in the village. This fantastic community facility is testament to the persistence, determination and hard work of the Parish Councillors, local community, and particularly South Croxton’s Parish Clerk, Stephen Johnson without whom this would not have happened.”
