Edward has joined veterans from Melton, along with well-known Melton County Councillor Pam Posnett as her guest at the monthly Veterans’ Breakfast at the Harboro Hotel in Melton Mowbray to thank them for their service, to listen to what matters to them…….and to enjoy a fantastic breakfast! The Veterans’ Breakfast Club at the Harboro is a monthly fixture for many veterans in Melton providing not only a fantastic fried breakfast at the very welcoming Harboro Hotel in the heart of the town, but also the camaraderie of catching up with others who have served their country to chat, make friends, and enjoy breakfast.
Edward said: “It was fantastic, and not only a pleasure but a privilege, to meet up with Melton veterans who have served our country over a great breakfast, and with my friend and long-serving and dedicated Melton County Councillor, Pam Posnett, at the Veterans’ Breakfast at the Harboro Hotel.
Not only was the breakfast superb, but more importantly, with Pam, it was a great opportunity to listen to our local veterans’ views on our Armed Forces, the threats facing our country, and what is needed to support our Armed Forces and our veterans, as well as how we can make Melton Mowbray an even more special place. I’m incredibly grateful to Pam for her kind invitation, to the Harboro Hotel for a great breakfast, bit mist importantly to our local veterans for their service, and for allowing me to share breakfast with them.”
