Edward had the pleasure of officially opening the St Peter and St Paul's Church Christmas Cafe and Fayre, and of formally presenting a cheque from the National Lottery Community Fund for £10,000 which the volunteer team at the Church and Church Hall had secured for a new boiler and for ceiling insulation in the Church Hall.
Edward said: “The hall plays a hugely important role in Syston town life, hosting multiple community groups, social events, and other functions that help bring the community together so it was great to be able to open the Church Christmas Cafe in the hall, and congratulate in person the team, particularly Janet Kidner, who'd secured the funding for these important improvements which make a huge difference to the hall.”
