Progress continues to be made on the project to alleviate flooding issues on Leicester Road in Groby, following the successful drilling of the trial holes needed prior to works.
Although progress has been slower than would have been wished, Severn Trent’s progress on this is testament to the hard work of local residents and Groby County Councillor Ozzy O’Shea, which Edward has continued to actively support.
Edward said: I met with local residents affected by the flooding problems some months ago, and have continued to press Severn Trent to progress this project as swiftly as possible, alongside the consistent work of local residents with Severn Trent. The flooding has a real impact on peoples’ quality of life so it is important it is resolved as swiftly as possible, and I will keep closely involved with this issue until the works are fully completed.”
