Edward has visited Kirby Muxloe Golf Club to meet new Club Captain, Ian Griffiths, and Club Treasurer, Gary Beesley, to hear about the challenges golf clubs faced during the pandemic, the Club's plans for the future, and to talk about the important role golf clubs like Kirby Muxloe play in the local community and beyond.
Edward said: "It was great to be hosted by Ian & Gary at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club, a club that I know plays a hugely important role in the life of the local community, as golf clubs do up and down the country. We had the opportunity not only to see the fantastically well-kept greens, but to discuss the central role golf clubs play in keeping people fit, and in the social and community life of our towns and villages, as well as the impact of pandemic restrictions on golf clubs. I wish Kirby Muxloe Golf Club every continued success in the future."
