Thrussington CofE Primary School has been successful in its bid to the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) for funding to build a new school hall. This successful bid comes on top of funding the school secured a few years ago to add new state-of-the-art classroom accommodation and increase the school’s capacity. The bid was prepared and submitted by the school and its governors, with Edward providing his support to the bid.
Edward said: “Thrussington CofE Primary School is a fantastic local school, playing a central role in community life, and places at the school are increasingly in demand. It is great news that the school has been successful in this bid, led by Chair of Governors Patrick Rendall MBE and Headteacher Hannah Roddy, to secure the funding to build a fit for purpose school hall to replace the decades old mobile building currently used and I congratulate the team at the school. I have visited the school on many occasions, and it was a pleasure to add my support to this bid. Thrussington CofE Primary continues to provide great teaching and learning, and this new addition will further enhance its ability to do so - I look forward to visiting again soon.”
