Edward has joined the Mayor of Melton, Cllr Tim Webster, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, representatives of the Royal British Legion, the senior Town Warden, serving members of the Armed Forces, cadets and a huge number of local residents to mark Remembrance Sunday in Melton Mowbray.
Following the Service of Remembrance in St Mary’s Church, and Melton’s traditional Remembrance Sunday parade through the centre of the town, wreaths of remembrance were laid in the Memorial Gardens to honour and to commemorate those who gave their lives for our freedom, and to pay tribute to those who have served, and continue to serve, in our Armed Forces. Remembrance Sunday saw the Melton community come together to remember, and to reflect on their sacrifices and the debt we owe them all.
