As Syston's local MP, Edward has joined local residents, and volunteers at the fantastic MacMillan Coffee Morning, held at the Pharmacie Arms on the High Street in Syston, generously hosted by Dave Noseley and his mother, Jean. The hugely well attended event raised over £1400 of much needed funds for MacMillan Cancer Support, with everyone enjoying Dave's tea, coffee, and the fantastic cakes that volunteers had provided.
Edward said: "It is testament to the hard work and kindness of people like Dave and Jean, and to the community spirit of Syston as a town, that this event was such a success in raising much needed funds for an incredibly good cause. Dave is a well-known figure in Syston & regularly helps out with good causes, so I want to take the opportunity to thank him, & Jean, for all they do for the town & community."
