Edward has met with the Midlands Connect team in Parliament, for one of his regular meetings to discuss local infrastructure priorities, for the Charnwood constituency. Midlands Connect works hard to research and propose transport projects that are expected to bring lasting social and economic benefits for the Midlands, and the UK more broadly.
Edward said: “Infrastructure continues to be a priority for many of my constituents- including improving our strategic road network to tackle congestion, and supporting upgrades to rail services that improve inter-regional connectivity. It is something I continue to be passionate about so it was great to hear the latest updates from Midlands Connect, as well as making a strong case for the need to maintain (and improve) local transport infrastructure in our area.”
