Edward said: “It is a huge honour to serve the people of Charnwood as their MP, and I would like to begin this message by thanking everyone who took the time to vote- regardless of whether they voted for me, or not. It is a privilege to live in a democracy and have the ability to vote- so I thank all those who made the decision to use their vote. Since I was first elected in 2015, I have worked hard to champion issues of local importance and act as a strong voice in Parliament for Charnwood. Having been elected for a third time, I am grateful for the chance to continue to work hard on your behalf and look forward to resuming my position in the Chamber again, alongside all Members of the new Parliament.”
