To mark National Manufacturing Day, Edward has visited local Thurmaston employer, Qualvis Print and Packaging, to discuss manufacturing and the business with Joint Managing Directors, Marcus Short & Lisa Smith, and to see for himself its continued investment in its state of the art double-digital packaging line.
Thurmaston based Qualvis is a successful family-owned multi-million pound company, founded in 1982, providing jobs for many local people, and continuing to invest and grow. The company is a leading manufacturer of printed cartons and packaging, and many of the familiar brands we see on our supermarket shelves will have had their packaging produced by Qualvis.
Commenting on his visit, and his discussion with the Qualvis team, Edward said: "Qualvis Print and Packaging Ltd is a great Thurmaston business success story, and it was a great pleasure to be shown round by Marcus and the team on National Manufacturing Day. Marcus, LIsa and the whole team should be very proud of the successful business they have built, which continues to grow and innovate."
