Edward has joined players, parents, and Rothley Imps FC coaches and volunteers to watch some of the junior teams playing a Sunday morning match at the Fowke Street playing fields in Rothley.
As well as enjoying the fantastic football, he had the opportunity to talk with Club officials about the club’s ethos, successes, and plans for the future to further widen participation in the club and opportunities for children of all ages to enjoy the team spirit and physical activity that playing football brings.
Edward commented: “Local community football clubs, like Rothley Imps FC, provide fantastic opportunities for children of all ages to enjoy the benefits of playing football, and to have a lot of fun doing it. The volunteers who run Rothley Imps FC do an amazing job, making football available to so many children, regardless of their ability, and I want to pay tribute to them for all they do for our local community.”
