Edward has joined Mayor of Melton, Cllr Tim Webster, and the Chairman of Leicestershire County Council, Cllr Joe Orson, for the formal re-opening of the refurbished Crown Inn in Old Dalby.
The crown in Old Dalby is a village institution, attracting customers not just from the village, but from far and wide. Following its refurbishment it looks set to continue doing so for many years to come. Edward was shown round by pub manager, Rhys, and his team and it was evident just what a central role the Crown plays in community life, but also the focus of the whole team on providing a great pub experience to customers.
Edward said: “Attending the reopening a much loved pub after its refurbishment is one of the more enjoyable duties an MP is asked to undertake! Pubs are at the heart of our communities, particularly our rural communities, bringing people together, so it is important we continue to support them. I want to congratulate the team at the Crown Inn on their fantastic refurbishment.”
