The Prime Minister has appointed Edward as Chief Secretary to HM Treasury in the mini-reshuffle which saw Jeremy Hunt appointed as Chancellor of the Exchequer. The Chief Secretary is the Chancellor’s deputy, responsible for managing public expenditure.
Edward commented: “I am honoured to have been appointed as Chief Secretary to the Treasury, and look forward to working closely with Jeremy to deliver for the people of our country.”
