Edward, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for the new Melton & Syston seat, has visited Asfordby's Remount Barracks for their Community Open Day to see first-hand the amazing the amazing work and skills of the Defence Animal Training Regiment (DATR) and their dogs and horses, and to express his support for our Armed Forces, our local barracks, and the local team at the DATR.
Edward said: "As well as being a fantastic day out, DATR's Remount Barracks Open Day in Asfordby was a great opportunity to learn more about the DATR's work, as well as to meet servicemen and women from other parts of our armed forces who were well-represented at this hugely popular event. As a local Leicestershire MP, and Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for the new Melton & Syston seat, which includes the barracks, I know just how proud local people are of the DATR being based just outside Melton Mowbray, and wanted to take the opportunity to show my strong support for their work and for our Armed Forces."
