Edward has joined local County & Borough Councillor Deborah Taylor at the annual Anstey Gala, and on a visit to Anstey's successful Community Library.
Although the rain was never far away it failed to dampen spirits, and the sun finally came out, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy the stalls and the performances in the centre of the recreation ground.
Edward said: "Congratulations to everyone involved in staging and taking part in this years' Anstey Gala - no one let the rain get in the way, and local people turned out in large numbers to enjoy the afternoon. It was also fantastic to be able to visit the Community Library once again - the volunteers do an amazing job, and every time I visit the, library just gets better and better, providing a hugely important resource to local residents."
