On a busy Saturday of local events Edward has taken time out to enjoy the famous conker championships in Long Clawson, held on the Pingle, outside the village pub, the Crown and Plough. The annual event took place in the sunshine and certainly attracted the crowds, with people coming from across the Vale of Belvoir to enjoy the fun, with a competitive edge! Proceeds from the event go to Long Clawson Primary School and Long Clawson Village Hall.
Edward commented: “The Long Clawson Conker Championships are an annual fixture, so it was great as Long Clawson’s local MP to be able to join the crowds in the village to watch, and to enjoy the fun!”
